Fresh Website Content - Google Alerts
One of the most important keys to running a successful website is content. Ever heard the phrase, "Content is king" when people refer to the web? Many of our clients include industry news on their websites. It helps customers know that they are in touch with the rest of their market - not operating in a bubble. And up-to-date content appeals to search engines as well as customers.
An easy way to get updates on a particular topic is to use Google Alerts. Simply enter the phrase you want to receive news updates for, and how often you want to receive them. Then sit back and let the items come to you.
I have several alerts set up to send items on various topics. For instance, one of my favorites is "ecommerce". Here's an excerpt from the alerts I received tonight.
