Zip Based Sales Tax for MIVA Merchant 5
We've just (finally?) launched Zip Based Sales Tax for version 5 of MIVA Merchant. Been a long time coming but it's nice to join the ranks in this brave new world. We'll soon be releasing a free add-on module for v4 and v5 that allows you to directly import our sales tax databases, bypassing the Excel spreadsheet macro "workaround" that has been required for some time.

my database download (single state w/ 12 months of upadates) didn’t come with the required ConversionMacro.xls and so is pretty useless. waiting for a response from the company.
seems like a winner if i ever get the database loaded.

Oops, we forgot to put the Excel file in the new v5 zip! Thanks for bringing that to our attention Timothy. I’ve emailed it to you. For others who may stumble across this post, it can also be downloaded from a link at the very bottom of this FAQ:

Very soon we should have a new import module (for v4 and v5) that will directly import these sales tax databases, bypassing the need for the Excel spreadsheet and macro. It will be provided free of charge. I don’t have a firm ETA but I expect it within a month.
