Miva Merchant Modules and More

Our Miva modules are designed to extend and enhance the Miva Merchant shopping cart. We pride ourselves on Miva modules that combine reliability, ease of use, and cost-effectiveness. In addition to the modules available here, we also design and develop custom Miva Merchant sites and specialize in custom modules based on our clients' needs. Please contact us for more details.

Five Dollar Mods!

Check out our new line of cheap Miva modules! Over the years we've written a number of compact Miva Modules that accomplish a single task (usually administrative) to make life easier as we've developed stores for clients. We're releasing these in a new collection known as Five Dollar Mods - where each one has a screaming low price of only five dollars!

Copy Products to Another Category

The first five dollar mod is available now. Copy Products to Another Category lets you take all the products from category A and also assign them to category B. Great for roll-up categories!

Remember Me™ for Miva Merchant 5

Remember Me

Remember Me is now available for Miva Merchant 5. One of our most popular modules, Remember Me keeps customers logged in between visits. It's a great way to increase usability with little effort and a low price.

New Smart Links for SEO™ Module

Smart Links for SEO

We wrote this module for a client who had used static pages on their Miva Merchant 4 site to speed up load times for their customers. As a result, they had URLs of the format http://www.domain.com/CATEGORYCODE.html and http://www.domain.com/PRODUCTCODE.html. When we migrated them to Miva Merchant 5, they needed a module that provided the exact same short URLs, so they wouldn't lose their search engine positions as a result of the new website. So we developed Smart Links for SEO™ to meet this need. (Available only for Miva Merchant 5.x running MySQL.)

Miva Merchant Sales Tax Solutions

Zip Based Sales Tax

Governments are making it harder and harder for ecommerce businesses to accurately calculate, withhold, and remit sales tax. We specialize in this area! Our Zip Based Sales Tax module has been in use by clients since 2001, and gives stores a way to calculate sales tax based on the zipcode that the items are being shipped to. We also feature sales tax databases and sales tax reporting modules (coming soon).

By default, Miva Merchant displays the CODE for an attribute or option within the basket contents, on the basket and all checkout screens. For some stores, this poses a usability problem, especially since the codes typically cannot contain whitespace or special characters.

You can change that with our Attribute Prompt in Basket module. A simple install of this module on an OpenUI-enabled store is all you need to show prompts on the basket page, all checkout screens, the invoice, and merchant and customer emails.

If you're using template modules, such as Other Page Templates, OpenUI Supermod Templates, or Dynamic Templates, you can still use this module. Just register the module as a third-party token, and uses the included tokens to display the attribute and option prompts in the correct location within your template code.

Our module even FULLY supports Attribute Templates!

In the image above, note how our test product (a calendar) uses the words "small" and "large" for the option codes, and a lower case "size" for the attribute code. However, the corresponding prompts are "4 x 4 Desk" and "12 x 12 Wall" for the options, and title case "Size" for the attribute.

Basket screen

Without our module, in the basket, you would see "size: small" on the attribute line. Our module changes this and shows "Size" and "4 x 4 Desk" instead. Much more user friendly!
