Purpose of Module

This module allows you to selectively suppress the fields "Quantity in Basket", "Code", and "Weight" that appear on the Category Screen, the Product Selection Screen, and the Order Upsell Screen. For each of the three fields, you can choose a suppression level from among the following:

• Miva default
• Never show
• Suppress when category code equals a given value
• Suppress when category code begins with a given value
• Suppress when category code ends with a given value
• Suppress when product code equals a given value
• Suppress when product code begins with a given value
• Suppress when product code ends with a given value

How to Install

• Installing the Module
  1. Unzip supersuppression.zip to your hard drive
  2. Log into your Miva admin utility
  3. Expand the navigation tree next to Modules
  4. Click the link "Add Module"
  5. Click the "Upload File" graphic
  6. Click the "Browse" button
  7. Browse to the location where you stored the files from supersuppression.zip
  8. Select supersuppression.mv
  9. Click the "Upload" button
  10. When the graphic has been uploaded, the small "Upload File" window will disappear, leaving you with the main Miva admin screen visible
  11. Click the "Add" button on the main Miva admin screen
  
  
• Associating the Module with a Store
  1. Log into your Miva admin utility
  2. Expand the navigation tree next to Stores
  3. Expand the navigation tree next to the store with which you wish to associate this module
  4. Click the link "System Extension Configuration"
  5. In the assigned module list, you should see an entry for "Super Suppression"
  6. Check the checkbox next to this module and click Update
  7. When the screen refreshes, you should see a tab near the top of the screen that reads "Super Suppression"

How to Configure

1. Log into your Miva admin utility
2. Expand the navigation tree next to Stores
3. Expand the navigation tree next to the store with which you wish to associate this module
4. Click the link "System Extension Configuration"
5. Click the "Super Suppression" tab
6. This screen is divided into 3 columns representing the following pages: Category, Product Selection, and Order Upsell
7. For each screen, choose a value for how to show each field. If you select something other than "Miva default" or "Never show", enter a string in the associated textbox to tell the system when to suppress the field.
8. Example: suppose you want to suppress "Item Code" on the category screen unless the product begins with the string "123". Under the first column, select the radio buttom under "Item Code" next to the label "Suppress when category code begins with:". Then enter "123" in the textbox.
9. Click the update button to save your changes.
