Purpose of Module

The Multiple Search Columns module allows you to display products on the search results page in multiple columns. It also provides you with control over the opening table tag, allowing you to (if desired) turn on borders, specify a width, and more.

How to Install

• Installing the Module
  1. Unzip nbmultsrchcol.zip to your hard drive
  2. Log into your Miva admin utility
  3. Expand the navigation tree next to Modules
  4. Click the link "Add Module"
  5. Click the "Upload File" graphic
  6. Click the "Browse" button
  7. Browse to the location where you stored the files from nbmultsrchcol.zip
  8. Select nbmultsrchcol.mv
  9. Click the "Upload" button
  10. When the graphic has been uploaded, the small "Upload File" window will disappear, leaving you with the main Miva admin screen visible
  11. Click the "Add" button on the main Miva admin screen
  
  
• Associating the Module with a Store
  1. Log into your Miva admin utility
  2. Expand the navigation tree next to Stores
  3. Expand the navigation tree next to the store with which you wish to associate this module
  4. Click the link "System Extension Configuration"
  5. In the assigned module list, you should see an entry for "NetBlazon's Multiple Search Columns"
  6. Check the checkbox next to this module and click Update

How to Configure

1. Log into your Miva admin utility
2. Expand the navigation tree next to Stores
3. Expand the navigation tree next to the store with which you wish to associate this module
4. Click the link "System Extension Configuration"
5. Click the "Multiple Search Columns" tab
6. In the first textbox, enter the number of columns that products should be displayed in. In the second textbox, enter a valid opening table tag. (This value is already set to the default opening table tag, which is also provided as reference on the screen.)
7. Click the update button to save your changes.
