Cat Tree Font Control (Miva Module)

Purpose of Module

The Cat Tree Font Control module allows you to specify fonts for selected and unselected categories and the account link within the category tree. The fonts specified are not used in the rest of the store, allowing you to control the category tree separately from the links on the remainder of your page. You can also use the module to keep the selected category as a hyperlink.

How to Install
  • Installing the Module
    1. Unzip cattreefont.zip to your hard drive
    2. Log into your Miva admin utility
    3. Expand the navigation tree next to Modules
    4. Click the link "Add Module"
    5. Click the "Upload File" graphic
    6. Click the "Browse" button
    7. Browse to the location where you stored the files from cattreefont.zip
    8. Select cattreefont.mv
    9. Click the "Upload" button
    10. When the graphic has been uploaded, the small "Upload File" window will disappear, leaving you with the main Miva admin screen visible
    11. Click the "Add" button on the main Miva admin screen

  • Associating the Module with a Store
    1. Log into your Miva admin utility
    2. Expand the navigation tree next to Stores
    3. Expand the navigation tree next to the store with which you wish to associate this module
    4. Click the "Utilities" link
    5. In the assigned module list, you should see an entry for "NetBlazon's Cat Tree Font Control"
    6. Check the checkbox next to this module and click Update
How to Configure
  1. Log into your Miva admin utility
  2. Expand the navigation tree next to Stores
  3. Expand the navigation tree next to the store with which you wish to associate this module
  4. Click the "Utilities" link
  5. Click the "Cat Tree Font Control" tab
  6. In the textboxes, enter the opening and closing font tags for any or all options. Entries left blank will retain the default Miva formatting.
  7. Make sure your tags contain valid HTML, and that your opening and closing tags match.
  8. Click the update button to save your changes.
New for version 4.0: The CSS class attributes have been changed to offer more flexibility. You can still use "loginlink" for the account login link. However the category classes are now "top_unselected" and "child_unselected" for the unselected categories links, and "top_selected" and "child_selected" for the selected categories links.
